135 East Gin

Who - Kaikyo Distillery - The distillery is named after the Akashi-Kaikyō Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in the world.

Where - Hyogo, Japan

What - This is a Japanese GIN in a traditional London Dry style with a unique Japanese thoughtfulness. This bottle utilizes both familiar and exotic botanicals, including yuzu, sansho pepper, and Japanese tea leaves, among others crowned by a splash of sake distillate.

Why - 135 East Gin is notably aromatic, offering a blend of citrus and floral scents, with the yuzu’s bright notes standing out prominently. The palate follows with a crisp, refreshing taste, where the citrus flavors blend harmoniously with a subtle earthiness and a spicy hint from the sansho pepper, creating a complex and layered drinking experience.

When - Drink this when you feel sipping something clean and dry with a lingering hit of spice while in the sand or snow far from home.

Cocktails to consider - Gin & Tonic, White Negroni, Southside, Gin Fizz.

“The only day I ever enjoyed ironing was the day I accidentally got gin in the steam iron.” – Phyllis Diller
